"When my dad had a stroke, and ended up needing 24/7 care, my whole life turned upside down.
My dad was discharged from the hospital and brought home while we awaited a placement in a long-term care home. There were so many aspects to think about, including safety, fall risk, medication schedule, personal care, meals, socialization, etc.
It was absolutely overwhelming, and arrangements needed to be made very urgently to keep my dad safe at home.
AllCare Nursing was so wonderful and helped so much in the care of my dad! Their experience in caring for stroke victims and dementia patients was excellent as well as their genuine and friendly personalities.
It is hard to trust just anyone with the care and safety of a loved one.
I felt so reassured when I met the AllCare Nursing team, and truly appreciate the care they gave my dad, as well as the advice and support they provided to me and my family!
They were also very flexible in adding additional support as needed. Ron (LPN) was especially wonderful with my dad. She was so kind and patient and knew how to handle my dad’s dementia. Sheena (RN) handled all of my concerns so compassionately and lightened the burden of this very difficult situation. Thank you AllCare for everything!!! I can’t tell you enough how much me and my family appreciate it. Thank you so much!!!"

"Two years ago I advertised for a caregiver for my 79 year old husband who has Parkinson’s, Dementia, and profound hearing loss. Sheena Park, highly over-qualified, applied for the position. At that time Sheena had a goal of opening a home nursing business and felt that she needed the one-on-one experience of caring for a client in his/her home. Serendipity played its part as this was indeed our good fortune.
Sheena provided my husband with exemplary personal care, kindness, and undivided attention. She was compassionate, was able to soothe his anxieties, and engaged him in exercises, conversations, and recreational activities. He loved his time with her and always looked forward to her weekly visit.
As Walter’s caregiver and spouse and certainly not a nurse by profession, Sheena taught me a great deal about Parkinson’s, medications, side effects, and caregiving. I was very open to learning from her and it became common for her to arrive with a handout or information that she thought might be of interest to me. In many ways our relationship morphed from employer-employee to a teacher-student dynamic.
It was beyond gratifying to return home one day to find Sheena kneeled on the floor of the bathroom, massaging my husband’s abdomen, as he struggled to have a bowel movement. Or, to watch her ability to skillfully calm my husband during a period of anxiety.
For both my husband and I, it was an honour to help Sheena gain this one-on-one experience within our home. She teaches by example, and I am confident that her employees will be well-screened and well-trained. She will work tirelessly to create a company that will reflect her values, her high standards and her expectations. I believe that she models this saying: “How you do anything is how you do everything”
We are forever grateful to have had Sheena as part of our health care journey. We can wholeheartedly endorse her services."
